About Us
The Green Level High School Chorus is a community of student musicians who strive to blend skill and artistry to share their most authentic and expressive musical interpretations with each other and all who listen to them sing. Founded in 2019, this young chorus has represented itself well within the choral community. Every choir in the program has consistently earned superior ratings on stage and in sight reading. In addition, its members also regularly earn places in the North Carolina Music Educators Association Honors Chorus, the All-Carolina Select Choir and NC Governor’s School. The GLHS Chorus was invited to make its Carnegie Hall debut in November 2023 to premiere a brand new work with world renowned composer, Ola Gjeilo. The GLHS Chorus have also won multiple competitions and are looking forward to their first international performance in London, Spring 2026. And while the singers and their director work incredibly hard to bring high quality choral performances to every audience, kindness is the heart of this choir. The chorus community is what continues to be the biggest draw for students and families at Green Level High School.

Ms. Faust began her career teaching middle school choir in Florida where she served as the co-chair and pianist for the Volusia County All-County Middle School Choir and was part of the Middle School Chorus District Curriculum Mapping Team. Later in her career, Ms. Faust worked as the Associate Conductor and Operations Manager for the Children’s Chorus of San Antonio where she had the opportunity to collaborate with then Artistic Director, Doreen Rao.

Under her direction, the FA choirs earned awards and accolades, toured nationally, and consistently received invitations to perform with organizations such as the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra.
Ms. Faust now leads the award-winning Green Level High School Chorus. Under her direction, both the Bella Voce and Tenor Bass Chorus have consistently earned straight superiors on stage and in sight reading at MPA. In 2023, a recording of their performance of “Tundra” on Instagram, earned them an invitation to perform with Ola Gjeilo for the premiere of his new work, “Twilight Mass” in Carnegie Hall. The choir will also be making its international debut in 2026 at the London International Choral Festival. Ms. Faust absolutely loves making music every day with the lovely young people of the Green Level Chorus.
In addition to her work in the classroom, Ms. Faust is a member of NCMEA and ACDA and has thoroughly enjoyed serving as an MPA judge. Her love for musical theatre has led to a tremendous amount of experience as a music director, pit conductor and pianist.
